2. The tools run in your browser

Generators and validators calculate entirely in your browser. Values you enter (for example an IBAN to validate) and generated data are not sent to our server or to third parties and are not stored.

3. Accounts, cookies, audience measurement and advertising

There are no user accounts. The site itself sets no cookies. Fonts are delivered from our own server; no connections to Google Fonts are made.

Advertising with Google AdSense. To finance the free tools we use Google AdSense (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; Google LLC, USA, for users outside the EEA). Your browser loads scripts from Google (pagead2.googlesyndication.com). For technical reasons your IP address and details of your browser and device are transmitted to Google; Google may set or read cookies and process data in third countries, in particular the USA. For visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google shows a consent message. Cookies and ads that require consent are only used after you agree (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, section 25(1) TDDDG). You can change your choice at any time via the privacy settings that Google offers on the page. More about Google's processing is at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Audience measurement with Ahrefs Web Analytics. We measure which pages are viewed and how often, in order to improve the site. When you open a page, your browser loads a script from analytics.ahrefs.com, a service of Ahrefs Pte. Ltd., Singapore. For technical reasons your IP address and details of the page view (page, referrer, browser and device type, approximate origin) are transmitted to Ahrefs. According to Ahrefs, the service sets no cookies by default and stores no personal data. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest in improving the site based on how it is used. Because Ahrefs is based in Singapore, data is processed outside the EU; see Ahrefs' privacy policy for details. You can object to this processing on grounds relating to your particular situation under Art. 21 GDPR by writing to the address in the imprint. If we start using further services, we will update this policy beforehand and obtain your consent where required.

4. Server log files

When you open the site, the web server processes technically necessary data: IP address (in shortened form), date and time, requested page, amount of data transferred, status code and user agent. The purpose is secure and stable operation and the prevention of abuse. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operating the site). Log files are deleted after 14 days at the latest.

5. Hosting

The site is operated at Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen (Rechenzentren in Deutschland). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR exists with the provider.

6. Contact by e-mail

If you write to us, we process your e-mail address and the content of your message to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We delete the message once the matter is settled and no statutory retention duties apply.

7. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR) and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The competent authority is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach.
